Keep Teaching @ JHU

NOTICE:
This site was used by the university to share resources during the historic shift to online teaching during the pandemic. Please see Teaching @ JHU for curated list of university-wide teaching resources and information: https://teaching.jhu.edu.

The purpose of this website is to provide general information to help prepare all course instructors (including graduate student instructors) for teaching remotely. Scroll to the bottom of this page for links to division specific information and resources.

Importantly, instructors should NOT alter their course modality without direction from the university. Moving modalities within a course is highly disruptive for both faculty and students, and decisions to modify modality are complex and have many interrelated considerations. Johns Hopkins is committed to ensuring students can complete their educational experience and that instructors have the flexibility to implement the most appropriate and responsible solution for each course.

When disruptions occur, students will look to course instructors for a sense of normalcy. Planning and clear communication are paramount to ease student anxiety.

The information provided is intentionally broad; given many exceptional situations, we cannot address every issue or question. You should work with your program, department, and/or divisional leadership for additional guidance. The links below will direct you to resources and contact information specific to your school.
